Telugu is India's fourth most spoken language and was called 'the Italian of the East' for the way almost every word ends in a vowel, giving it a sung quality. Hyderabad's technology industry, a vast film industry and two state governments run on it.
๐ฑ How this course teaches
Telugu is a Dravidian language that borrowed heavily from Sanskrit, so a Hindi speaker will recognise many nouns and almost no grammar. This course uses that: it starts from the shared words to build confidence, then teaches the Dravidian machinery โ endings glued to words, verb at the end โ that makes Telugu work.

Dravidian grammar with Sanskrit vocabulary: recognise the words, learn the machinery. Endings glue on (-เฐฒเฑ, -เฐจเฑเฐเฐเฐฟ), the verb comes last, -เฐ asks a question, and -เฐเฐกเฐฟ makes you polite.
