Devanagari β written left to right under a headline (ΰ€Άΰ€Ώΰ€°ΰ₯ΰ€°ΰ₯ΰ€ΰ€Ύ). Every letter has exactly one sound.
π― Why learn it
Hindi is the link language of much of India, the language of the largest film industry on earth, and an official language of the Union. For a student from a non-Hindi state it opens travel, work and half the country's conversation; for a Hindi speaker who never learnt to write it, this course closes that gap.
π± How this course teaches
Most people meeting Hindi already know a hundred words of it from songs and films. So this course begins by collecting what you already have, then organises it β sound by sound, sentence by sentence. Devanagari is introduced early, because it is genuinely easy: unlike English, it is written exactly as it is spoken.
π The sounds to get right first
